A Church in a Hotel

Yesterday was a good Sunday. I had a good sleep the night before and woke up around 6am. Who would have waken up at 6am on a Sunday morning? Oh yeah…Muslims do wake up around that time for their Fajr prayer. I am quite a morning person now compared to before.
The previous day, I promised a friend I will be at her church for the Roadworks Village play that Sunday morning. By 8.30 I was on Federal Highway to the Summit Hotel. I arrived at the church just when it was about to start. That was my first time stepping into a church in a hotel!
I wasn’t comfortable with the charismatic way of service as I came from the Methodist church which is a little more traditional than the AOG. But as soon as the play started, I was at ease. The play was inspiring. It helped reflect on my the decisions I have made in the past and the many future decisions I will have to make.

After the play , I met quite a few friends. My presence was a surprise to some of them especially Janet. I think most of them never thought I will be there for the play. Surprise! =)

Friends who are not friends

I find it annoying when some friends only contact me out of the blue. Some wanted to promote their MLM businesses, needed a listening ear, needed a loan etc etc. If you never bothered to keep in touch with yours truly, please don’t do this anymore. I think you are not sincere.

Also, I dislike friends who always depend on me to plan our outing. I can plan but it is better if you reciprocate by suggesting as well. I hate one-way relationship, really.

Statements such as “You are a nice person, I love you, You are a nice guy, You are a friendly person, You are a smart guy, etc etc” are meaningless when you continue to give the impression I have no importance in your life.

You have made me rethink if you are really my friends. May be I should throw you to sea. Do I know you?
