Gateway to Paradise

Redang was awesome! I am well rested but I don’t feel like working!

There was no email to read, no phone calls from customers and prospects, no programming codes to write and no worries.

I love the sandy beach with its clear water. The food at Laguna Redang Island Resort was yummy-licious. There were just so many colourful fishes swimming around me while snorkeling. Now I want to take up scuba diving!! Here is how I look like underwater somewhere in Redang =)

Look so “kayu” at the Marine Park =)

Perhentian Island is next. Anyone interested to join me?

Engagement

A close friend broke the news last Friday that she is getting engaged this year and the akad nikah (solemnization) will be next year. Congratulations! I am happy for both of you, really.

It was good catching up with each other since we last met in December last year during a farewell gathering. Time surely flies quickly. Thank you for being there whenever I needed a friend. Thank you. =) Heh. I never stop saying this to you.

You’re Always In Action Even If You Think You’re Not, Huh?

The Inescapability of Action/Reaction states that there are two things from which you can never escape: action and reaction.

In other words, you are always acting – even if you think you are not. For example: Read more »

One month of mild cough

I went to see a doctor after almost one month of coughing! My doctor gave me a stare and asked, “Didn’t you see a doctor for this cough before this?” I replied “No”.

It all started with a sore throat on June 4th after the IF camp . It must have been Read more »

I Paid Petrol with 5 Cent Coins

I was at a BHP petrol station and requested the counter to refill petrol for my car. I told the cashier I wanted a full tank. I drove from Cheras to Subang and again back to Subang with the warning light blinking most of the time! My car almost ran dry of petrol when I was at the station. The refililng took longer than usual. It was almost 1 AM and when the refueling stops, the kiosk displayed I were to pay RM 74+. I checked my wallet and I was left with only RM 70! Darn!

I counted my coins usually reserved to pay the tolls which extorts me every time I drive through them. There weren’t many 50, 20 or 10 cents coints left. I counted the 5 cents and 1 cent coins! OK OK. Not bad. I had more than enough 5 cent coins to pay him. Then I thought I should dispose my 1 cent coins! So I started stacking the 1 cent coins in stacks of ten. 10 cents a stack right? I remember I had 3 stacks of 1 cent coins which amounts to 30 cents. Sudah cukup!

But the cashier refused to accept my 1 cent coins! So I paid with most of my 10-cent and 5-cent coins, 2 ten Ringgit note and 1 fifty Ringgit note.

You can see how I tortured the cashier. =)

Istiadat Penyampaian Sijil Pengakap Raja Negeri Perak 2007

My mom was excited that I was in the NST today! I can’t seem to find any article about the King Scout certificate we received last month from YTM Raja Nazrin. Some photos to share….

Only a few of my batch completed the King Scout tests. It was really survival of the fittest!

During the rehearsals, some of these King Scouts were walking like robots! You should have failed your marching tests!

Here you can see the stage just before the arrival of Raja Dr Nazrin.

And we finally “graduated”! Once a scout, always a scout. =)

Lawyers Break Rules Too

This red Avanza with Bar Council sticker belongs to a lawyer near my office. She parks indiscriminately and one fine day the management clamped her car.

She should have just rented a parking lot. It is not that expensive for her anyway.
