Resignation
No. Wait. I am still employed until end of June. For the past 36 months, I have learned a lot on starting and running a software company, e-commerce, online payment systems and online marketing. Lately, God have shown me signs to resign from my current position as an E-commerce Consultant (Payment Gateway Specialist) to start on my own online business. I had deep thoughts and some occasional sleepless nights thinking of the risks involved. Nevertheless, I have finally decided to tender my resignation yesterday evening. My last day will be 30 June 2008.
On another note, there many friends who have been trying to recruit me over the past few months. I can say some of the offers are really attractive. However, the plan is to be “jobless” for about 2 to 3 months attending interviews, take scuba diving license in Perhentian Island, contribute to open source projects such as WordPress and MagentoCommerce, learn new web technologies such as AJAX and help friends with their online stores.
The time has come for me to close this eventful chapter to venture into unchartered territory, period. Hint: I can be your e-business consultant especially if you intend to start your own online store cheaply. :)
Bold decision to get out and find something better.
The outside world is very cold… nevertheless, there are opportunities at high risk.
