She Left Us

Dear Ah Ma,

Thank you for the occasional jokes despite your sufferings. I like them. Your have great smile even while you were being warded last month. And I will always remember the morning we woke up last week to send you for change of dressing at the Air Itam government clinic. We were both excited that we reached the gate when it just opened at 7.30am. We were given number “1″ and we left within an hour. The feeling was good.

But I guess I never thought you will leave so early - a day earlier than my scheduled arrival. :(

Moksha

I was very happy on Monday night. Happy because I am finally self-employed and they sky is now the limit. Unlike when I was an employee, now the thoughts of how to generate income just keep flowing. It just feel different. A sense of liberation, a taste of freedom…

A lot of encouragement… Friends and Read more »

Resignation

No. Wait. I am still employed until end of June. For the past 36 months, I have learned a lot on starting and running a software company, e-commerce, online payment systems and online marketing. Lately, God have shown me signs to resign from my current position as an E-commerce Consultant (Payment Gateway Specialist) to start on my own online business. I had deep thoughts and some occasional sleepless nights thinking of the risks involved. Nevertheless, I have finally decided to tender Read more »

Sad

I feel sad that I wasn’t able to make a friend happy. She was visibly disappointed and discontented. Nonetheless, that was so much I could do. Never had this for quite some years….

I am blessed

There were dinners, phone calls and numerous text messages from relatives and close friends. Some were surprises and some had made plans way ahead.

Today, I am officially 26 old.
Somehow this year I feel old but a friend said “….you ‘earned’ every year you grow….”
How true.

Not in any particular order - To Adele, Grace, Andrew, Adeline, Yee Han, Michelle, Cheah, Edana, Azura, Tze Ming, Carmy, Alicia, Tai Loong, Prescilia, Lavanya, my dearest mom and cousins Lily, Chee Keong and Yong Lin - thanks for the thoughts.
This ‘journey’ wouldn’t be fun without you. I feel blessed. :)

25 plus One

I am aging!!! Gosh…

For the first 2 years of my working life, I always felt young - as young as those first year undergraduates! A few girlfriends thought they look older than me as I have this boyish look. Lucky me. :)

Now that I am 25 coming 26 in 3 days time, age is certainly catching up. I am not referring to my biological Read more »

A Good Start of the New Year

Year 2007 has been eventful for me. I did so many things, met so many people at so many different places - online and offline. There were exciting moments as well as boring, unhappy and dreaded days. There were many days when friends were too occupied with work and I have been left alone clicking away in front of my laptop. Some friends had totally forgotten about us after being attached to their significant other….yeah…I was kinda lost for some months. Those were trying moments as a result of having too many girlfriends as close friends….haha…

But today, just a few hours before the start of the near year, a dear friend which I didn’t expect a call from called to wish me a happy new year. Seeing her name on the display of my mobile phone made me almost speechless, excited and flattered. Which secret admirer wouldn’t be flattered??  :)

This is a good start of the new year!

Lost Among Stones

When there was nobody to accompany me for canoeing, I took a shot of pebbles next to the lake of Taman Wetlands, Putrajaya. Seems difficult to find a partner and friends for canoeing these days. Perhaps not many are into water sports or I do not share similar interests with friends. *sad*

A Man with Determination

determined_blind_man.jpg

On my way home from KLCC, I bumped into a visually-impaired Malay man. He needed someone to help him commute from KLCC to Masjid Jamek and finally to Star Taman Maluri LRT station. A few concerned Malaysians regardless of race helped him on his way home after work. I didn’t know people in KL can be so aware of needs of the disabled.

I helped him walked across the pedestrian crossing to Masjid Jamek Star LRT station to catch the next train to Maluri. He shared with me that he has been working at Ambank for about 10 years. He is customer service department which answers phone calls from customer.

I am amazed with determination…
