I Paid Petrol with 5 Cent Coins

I was at a BHP petrol station and requested the counter to refill petrol for my car. I told the cashier I wanted a full tank. I drove from Cheras to Subang and again back to Subang with the warning light blinking most of the time! My car almost ran dry of petrol when I was at the station. The refililng took longer than usual. It was almost 1 AM and when the refueling stops, the kiosk displayed I were to pay RM 74+. I checked my wallet and I was left with only RM 70! Darn!

I counted my coins usually reserved to pay the tolls which extorts me every time I drive through them. There weren’t many 50, 20 or 10 cents coints left. I counted the 5 cents and 1 cent coins! OK OK. Not bad. I had more than enough 5 cent coins to pay him. Then I thought I should dispose my 1 cent coins! So I started stacking the 1 cent coins in stacks of ten. 10 cents a stack right? I remember I had 3 stacks of 1 cent coins which amounts to 30 cents. Sudah cukup!

But the cashier refused to accept my 1 cent coins! So I paid with most of my 10-cent and 5-cent coins, 2 ten Ringgit note and 1 fifty Ringgit note.

You can see how I tortured the cashier. =)

My First Summon!

For the first time in my life, I was slapped with a summon! Last Wednesday, I had an appointment at Sunway Mas. When I reached the area, I saw a good spot parking spot under a tree. I parked, looked to the next car if there is parking to be paid. I also look for the machine but I didn’t not see one. I locked my car and dashed off to the venue of the appointment. When I came back. Ta da! RM 100.00 summon was on left on my car for not paying for parking!!!!

It all wasn’t that bad. I consulted a few friends and I came to conclusion I can appeal for reduction within 2 days. I finally paid at MBPJ’s office that Friday itself. Indeed, God has been very kind. =)

Lessons learnt:

  • Ask around if uncertain parking is free. At least parking around my office is free.
  • Pay your fines and summons. Don’t bribe =) God is watching you.
  • Trust Him. He is always there to help.

How you can find your bank account number with an ATM machine

I find it rather amusing last night. After dinner, I took a friend to 2 banks to deposit funds via cash deposit machines.

This guy was really unlucky =) Both machines were out of order. I thought he could pass me the cash and I transfer the funds using the ATM machine. Unfortunately, this hopeless guy forgot his bank account number. That inspired me and we found the account number after we enter our PIN at the ATM machine and press the “View Statement’ menu.

Our ATM machines were side by side and he read his account number aloud as I keyed into my ATM machine. I entered the amount and tadaa!! The amount was transferred. I could have charged this hopeless guy righ a processing fee right? But I was kind enough =)
